Reuse an observation without assuming the same interpretation
A source about a facility, certification or activity may inform more than one inquiry. Its relevance can still change with the organization, capability, geography and period in the new question. The observation can be reused with its reference and state while its meaning is recomputed for the current context. The result is not transferred as a ready-made answer.
Check provenance, rights and duplication
Before reuse, establish where the information came from, under which conditions it was acquired and whether permissions allow retention or sharing. The same company announcement republished by several sites is not automatically independent corroboration. Deduplication and lineage preserve information value without inflating source counts or crossing private subscriber context.
Review temporal dependencies
Currentness is not uniform across data; it depends on the claim and source. A certification may have a stated validity, a project reference describes a moment, and a webpage may have changed. If a source, subject or material condition changes, the system should identify which interpretations depend on it and reevaluate those dimensions.
Keep a clear boundary around each conclusion
A reused observation can remain valuable even if it does not meet the bar for canonical admission. Research can continue while preserving the difference between information that survived with provenance, an admitted FAXT and a derived INXIGHT. If source terms do not permit reuse, or its state no longer answers the question, new observation or abstention is appropriate.
Conceptual example
Hypothetical: a public certification observation first informs one industrial company’s Focus. Another related Focus asks about supply capability. AXIGNAL may reuse the source if rights allow, check the date and entity, and derive the new interpretation separately; the certification does not prove a relationship with the buyer.
Scope and limits
Reuse does not guarantee currentness, coverage or source independence. A prior result gains no authority because it was useful in another inquiry. Attribution, period, permissions and conditions must remain visible; a material gap may leave the answer UNKNOWN or require fresh observation.
